Astronomy is one of the oldest sciences. Astronomers of early civilizations performed methodical observations of the night sky, and astronomical artifacts have been found from much earlier periods. However, the invention of the telescope was required before astronomy was able to develop into a modern science. Historically, astronomy has included disciplines as diverse as astrometry, celestial navigation, observational astronomy, the making of calendars, and even astrology, but professional astronomy is nowadays often considered to be synonymous with astrophysics. Since the 20th century, the field of professional astronomy split into observational and theoretical branches. Observational astronomy is focused on acquiring and analyzing data, mainly using basic principles of physics. Theoretical astronomy is oriented towards the development of computer or analytical models to describe astronomical objects and phenomena. The two fields complement each other, with theoretical astronomy seeking to explain the observational results, and observations being used to confirm theoretical results.

Amateur astronomers have contributed to many important astronomical discoveries, and astronomy is one of the few sciences where amateurs can still play an active role, especially in the discovery and observation of transient phenomena.

Old or even ancient astronomy is not to be confused with astrology, the belief system that claims that human affairs are correlated with the positions of celestial objects. Although the two fields share a common origin and a part of their methods (namely, the use of ephemerides), they are distinct

Yipiii!
Akhirnya pertandingan GO antar pemain Go di Indonesia telah di laksanakan. Banyak suka dan duka yang di alami oleh seluruh panitia dan peserta seperti dapat tidur di sebuah hotel yang nyaman tanpa harus bingun bayar, mendapat makanan gratis seperti hoka-hoka bento, atau transportasi yang ga perlu bayar walaupun itu cuma naik taksinya mas blue!

Walaupun begitu kesenangan pun mulai terjadi seperti bertemunya para pemain amatir yang dengan menderita harus berhadapan dengan para pemain papan atas di IGC dan dengan wajah berseri-seri dan mencucurkan keringat bau dengan telak di bantai habis. Atau dengan bertemunya kedua belah pihak yang saling menjabat tanganya sendiri-sendiri karena ketegangan yang mendalam.

Walaupun begitu Akhirnya The First Indonesia Go Championship telah berhasil dilaksanakan! Omedeto Gozaimasu!

Oh demi mengenang tanda jasa dari pahlawan revolusi dunia IGO di Indonesia kami memberikan Applaus kepada Semuah Panitia dan pemain GO di seluruh indonesia. Dan mudah-mudahan para pemain yang belum sempat mengikuti pertandingan ini mudah-mudahan tahun depan dapat berparti sipasi.

Mhmm gambar di sebelah merupan sebuah gambar seorang gadis Jepang (Udah tau coy ga di kasih tau juga keliatan dari gambar) nah saya coba-coba kemarin-kemarin buat Upload nih gambar dengan kapasitas paling tinggi dan hal hasil gambar di samping selama satu jam ga ke upload sama sekali, tapi ga tau kenapa karena ga berhasil saya mengulanginya lagi dan ups- i did it again satu jam kembali berlalu tampa hasil yang memuaskan dan barulah tiga bulan kemudian karena frustasi yang di sebabkan kebodohan yang saya lakukan saya kembali mengupload gambar tersebut dengan kapasitas yang kecil dan akhirnya bisa anda lihat seperti sekarang ini sebuah gambar yang sangat luarbiasa sekali (inginya sih gitu)

gambar di samping ini juga sebenarnya saya ambil dari salah satu foto yang ada di komputer saya, saya sedikit menggunakan sebuah program yang sudah sangat di kenal masyarakat dan mencobanya sedikit demi sedikit dan kelamaan ga pernah selesai (inilah yang menyebapkan saya mengerjakan pekerjaan yang gampang tami menyita banyak waktu saya) mungkin sedikit bodoh juga karena dalam prosesnya kebanyakan mencoba membuat sesuatu yang memakan kehidupan saya sebagai manusia yang bersosialisasi di dunia real dan inkoreal seperti di dunia maya yang sedang saya masuki saat menulis tulisan ini.

Doctor Tenma Kenzou is one of the best brain surgeons in the world. But one day he decides to perform surgery on a 10 year old over the City’s Mayor. After saving the boy, the Director of the Hospital and the Doctors that worked in the Mayor show up dead in the hospital, and the boy who Dr. Tenma saved is missing, along with his twin sister. 9 years later a patient of Dr. Tenma is murder and the cops place him as the main suspect, but Dr. Tenma knows who did it; the boy he saved 9 years ago, he revived a Monster then and he must kill the Monster now, before more murders occur. - summary by Dtortot.

Breathtakingly magnificent. I have never seen such a laborious work in a thriller. And a good one at that, as your eyes work up the words and your mind glues them together resulting in a dialog and script beyond anything I have read before where twists spring forward with out notice and take you completely unguarded, you will end up riding the emotional and nerve breaking thriller that Monster is.

I love my stories with many characters and if these characters have a past to tell, well, I want to hear it. Monster satisfies this necessity of mine by giving me more characters that I could count and not only their pasts, but their futures. You end up knowing and loving all the characters in the story, even the sickest of them will leave an impression in you. Sadly, I ended up liking more the secondary characters and I was more interested in them than in the main character; Dr. Tenma. Don’t get me wrong, Dr. Tenma is a wonderful character, but he is no match when compared to some of the secondary characters.

The art isn’t as good as the story, but with such story you could care less about the art. Although some female designs are distracting, not because they are good, the opposite actually, they are ugly. Yet the male characters and the backgrounds are decent. But you will spend most of your time reading rather than obsessing over the art. After all, Monster is one of the best examples of substance over matter.

With a cast as good as this one and a plot as good as this one there is no reason why you shouldn’t read this manga. Naoki Urasawa has successfully made me one of his fans, and you can be sure I’ll be on the look out for some of his other works, you will too, once you finish Monster.

During the Summer holidays, Gash and gang decide to head for Fuji Mountain for a picnic gathering. There, they encounter a girl with a white magical book. Her name is Kotoha and her book has a message saying that Gash's mother is located a cave in the forest. However, when they eventually found the cave, there was already a blond-haired youth by the name of Wiseman. In order to rescue Wiseman, Gash and the others attempt to proceed into the depths of the cave and stumble upon the entrance to another world. Soon later, the strongest warrior, the Black Knight, appeared before them. Thinking that Gash was the one who stole the 101th magical book, the Black Knight started to attack them. Gash and Kiyomaro have to find the real criminal in exactly 24 hours, or else they will be stuck in the alternative world forever.
Zatch and Kiyo go on a camping trip in the forest near Mt. Fuji with their friends. When they meet a girl name Ctoha, who found a special book that tells her of things to come, her mother suddenly gets seriously sick. Now, to find a cure (and Zatch's mother), they must go to a cave in the forest. In the cave, Zatch and Kiyo are taken to the mamodo world, while Ctoha takes a strange man named Wiseman to cure her mother. In the mamodo world, Zatch and Kiyo are chased by the Magister Black Knight, who thinks that Zatch has stolen the 101st book, which was to be for the King. Now, Zatch has to clear his name and return to the human world within 24 hours so that he can defeat Wiseman, who is actually a mamodo that stole the 101st book, and save Ctoha from him.

Yakitate!! Japan (”Baked Fresh!! Ja-pan”) is a manga serialised in Shogakukan’s Shonen Sunday, by Takashi Hashiguchi. 21 graphic novels have been released as of January 2006, and has been licensed for English distribution by Viz. The series won the 2004 Shogakukan Manga Prize for best Shounen Manga.

The story focuses on Kazuma Azuma, a boy on his quest to create Ja-pan, a national bread for Japan itself. He initially heads to Tokyo to expand his bread-making horizons at the bread-making chain Pantasia; the story continues with Azuma’s exploits with his other coworkers.

The title of this series itself is a play on words; Yakitate translates to “freshly baked”, but Japan has a double meaning. Besides referring to the country of Japan, “pan” is the Japanese word for “bread” (a borrowed word stemming from Portuguese “pão”). Ja-pan is a pun for this series. This mimics the style of the names of other varieties of bread in Japanese, such as “furansupan” (French Bread), “doitsupan” (German rye-based bread), “itariapan” (Italian bread), etc..

Besides the desire to create his Ja-pan, Kazuma also possesses the legendary Solar Hands. These hands are warmer than normal human hand temperature, and allow the dough to ferment faster. This gives him some advantage at the beginning of the series, but his innovation and many Ja-pans are what really shine through.

Although the story has baking as its main theme, the parts that generate the most interest are the outrageous puns in the story. Especially notable are the “reaction” based puns made by the judges, who go to great lengths to prove a single point about the bread that they tasted. The series in general also pokes fun at the shounen genre’s tendency to be melodramatic over mundane tasks.

A 69-episode anime was produced by Sunrise, and was broadcast on TV Tokyo and other local stations from October 2004 through March 2006.

This comic tells ud about the Shinigami own note books called “Death Note” that can kill people when some one write down name in the death note and will die in 40 second. Shinigami Ryuku accidentally dropped his Death Note in a human world where its found by Raito. With the death note actually having directions in it for its use, Raito discovers he now has the power to discreetly kill people, and with this new power he plans to change the world in his ideal world by killing off criminals. Eventually the governments of the countries around the world notice the unusual amounts of deaths of their criminals, and figure out someone is behind them, but they have no way of discovering it themselves. That’s when they hire L, a master detective, to find out who is behind the murders. Death Note written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. It was serialized by Shueisha in Weekly Shonen Jump from the first 2004 issue, to May 2006, with 108 chapters at total.

Plot Summary: Hikaru Shindo is just a normal 12 year old Japanese boy. One day, he's rumaging through his Grandfather's things to see if he can find something to sell and pulls out an old Go board. A ghostly apparation appears out of the board and tells Hikaru his sad story. His name is Sai Fujiwara, a man who was a Go instructor to the emperor of Japan a thousand years ago. However, because of bad sportsmanship during a game, Sai was accused of cheating and banashied from the city. With no livelihood or any other reason to live, Sai commited suicide by drowning himself. Now, he haunts a Go board, and wants to accomplish the perfect Go game, called the "Hand of God" which he hopes to do through Hikaru. If Hikaru will be able to do it or not (or even wants to) will have to be seen.
